The Camden Climate Alliance has delivered several training opportunities to help businesses reduce their energy consumption and cut carbon emissions. Details of our past and upcoming trainings are included below.

Communicating your Sustainability Journey Webinar – February 2025

10 businesses joined us to learn how to effectively communicate their sustainability journeys. The session was hosted by Next15, a participant in the 2022–23 Mayor of London’s Business Climate Challenge. They shared reflections on their emissions reduction journey, offering practical advice on communicating transparently, building trust, and inspiring action based on their own experience.

Your Guide to B-Corp Certification Webinar – February 2025

15 businesses joined us to understand more about the B Corp Certification is, why it matters and the steps involved in the certification process. We were also joined by a current participant in the Camden and Brent Business Climate Challenge to share their experiences in becoming B Corp certified.

Carbon Literacy Training – November 2024

17 businesses joined us for a 1-day accredited Carbon Literacy Trust training course.
The course was delivered by consultants at Turner & Townsend, and covered topics including climate change science, the sources and impacts of carbon emissions, and practical steps to reduce carbon emissions in our daily lives.

Energy Saving Technologies and Funding Webinar – September 2024
40 businesses joined us to deep dive into the top energy saving measures you can implement in your building to save money and cut carbon. Measures explored included LED lights, heat pumps, building management systems, heat pumps and fabric improvements.

Staff Engagement and Behaviour Change Webinar – July 2024
Over 35 businesses joined us for an interactive online session to explore the link between behaviour and energy use, discover practical tools and strategies for energy conservation, and apply frameworks to develop a customised workplace action plan.

Energy Management Best Practice – June 2024

In June 2024, 25 businesses joined us for an in-person training session at the British Library. The session covered key topics including what a net zero building looks like and how to improve operational efficiency, understanding units of energy and setting targets, and exploring cleaner heating options and renewable energy sources.
