Sahand Kaveh, Sustainability Officer

Sahand joined Camden in March and has been working with schools, community partners and residents to deliver community-led action across the Borough. Additionally, Sahand is leading on delivering Camden’s Local Area Energy Plan which aims to deliver a just, place-based solution for delivering on Camden’s 2030 Net-zero ambitions whilst meeting the needs of Camden residents across the Borough.

Previously Sahand worked for an environmental consultancy, which allowed him to work closely with both public and private sector organisations. His expertise involved developing waste reduction policies for public sector entities and assisting businesses in creating effective strategies to reduce waste and energy consumption.

Sahand studied a degree in Sustainable Resources with a focus on Economics, Policy, and Transition at University College London (MSc). He is a passionate advocate for social and environmental justice and in his free time volunteers at a local community kitchen. He also enjoys being in nature, climbing, hiking, and cycling.
