Green Dragons’ Den
Since 2023, the Camden Climate Alliance has worked with local primary schools and businesses to deliver the Green Dragons’ Den, an annual initiative that gives young people the opportunity to develop and pitch their environmental project ideas to a panel of local businesses to secure funding.
Delivered in partnership with Think & Do London and London Clean Air, the initiative empowers young people to take action on climate while providing businesses with an opportunity to support local schools and communities.
How it works
Each year, participating primary schools are invited to develop ideas for projects that address environmental challenges in their schools. Pupils then attend a one-day event in February to pitch their ideas to a panel of local business representatives – our Green Dragons – who provide feedback and funding to help bring their projects to life.
Projects have focused on a range of environmental themes, including waste reduction, biodiversity and school greening.

“I loved being a Dragon and enjoyed spending time with my other Dragons… [The students] were all really brave and the experience will teach them so many life skills to take into their futures and will set them on a path of truly caring about the environment.”
